"It is finished"
You set in motion
A spiral of events
That I might be cleansed

Than " Thank You"
For You were done.

"Why hast Thou forsaken me?"
You made me realise
You have been there
In confidence I now move
Knowing what I go through
Is something You know well
You'll lift me through the heat.

When you said in distress
"Father, forgive them"
For me a lesson you drew
That I may forget
What others to me did
And forgive unconditionally
Just like to me You've done.

When You said
"Today with me in paradise you'll dwell"
An open promise you made
That if I acknowledged You
Home I'd return
No matter the roughness of the journey
Welcome me home You will
For like that criminal,
I once stood against You.

When you cried out
"Into Your hands I lift my spirit"
Obedience and surrender came afore
and You showed me the way
To the highest heavens
I know that shall be my home
For that act of sacrifice
You did it all
Just for me!
