Poetry, Plato says is imitation of reality. He goes ahead to argue that for poetry to exist, it must always imitate what is good, and what the gods would have no problem seeing in society. It should preach virtue, love, patriotism, courage and above all everything that is beautiful to the eyes. Plato opened one thing he thought the world would never under estimate. He made poets realise that they had the power to affect people. That is the reason these words come to you. Plato may have had a problem with the art, but I believe he would change his mind with these verses, hoping he will ever read them (which is least probable). It is my thank you to God for the abilities He's given me and my way of getting it back to the people that feel poetry still has relevance in today's world. Welcome aboard!
